Tourism

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

IT.A.CÀ Festival of Responsible Tourism is a project designed to promote a new method of tourism based on sustainability, inclusion and participation in local communities. The initiative invites travellers to rediscover their own roles as ‘contemporary citizens’, encouraging honest and respectful interactions between tourists and local inhabitants.

Founded in Bologna in 2009 as the first Festival of Responsible Tourism in Italy, today IT.A.CÀ is a national network involving dozens of towns and local areas, forming connections between citizens, associations, institutions and businesses.

Through events, tours, workshops, meetings and cultural activities, the project promotes a vision of ethical and sustainable tourism, capable of bringing together hospitality, environmental stewardship and social justice. IT.A.CÀ’s mission is clear: to transform a journey into an instrument for positive change in which economic dynamics, the quality of the touring experience and safeguarding our natural and cultural heritage are woven together to generate shared wealth.
