Angel Company is an industrial group founded and led by entrepreneur Vito Pertosa. It is solidly based in Puglia and has an established national and international presence.
The company is distinguished for its heavy investment in research and development and for its capacity for generating innovation in fields of advanced technology. Angel Company coordinates a business ecosystem specializing in railways, aerospsace, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, e-mobility and retail automation, developing cutting edge solutions for rail, aeropace and aeronautical infrastructures, and for intelligent mobility.
With a workforce of more than 3,000, 1,800 of whom are engineers, the group designs and builds hi-tech systems and technologies which are applied in over 73 countries worldwide, through a network of 50 international offices. CHIARA PERTOSA
CEO of SITAEL, Angel group’s operator in the space sector. She graduated in Economics, then gained experience in management and technological production working for MERMEC.
She is the daughter of Vito Pertosa, and since 2020 has been a Board member of the Polytechnic University of Bari. In 2024 she was awarded the title of Entrepeneur of the Year for Innovation by EY, distinguished for her contributions to development and the competitiveness of the Italian space sector.
VITO PERTOSA
Founder of the Angel Group, an international company which develops advanced technology in the railway, aerospace and digital sectors.
Born in Puglia, he began his career in MERMEC, specializing in diagnostic systems for the railway industry, which then expanded, becoming a point of reference worldwide. With Angel he created several innovative companies, including SITAEL, which operates in the space sector.
He has received numerous awards for his contributions to innovation and to Italian industry, and he is considered a key figure in bringing the South of Italy to the centre of technological research at an international level.
MATTEO PERTOSA
CEO and FOUNDER
of A4F, VAIMOO and MATIPAY
As a third generation entrepeneur, he has founded and nurtured numerous businesses in sectors as diverse as payment systems, electric mobility, gaming and transport.
He is a three time winner of the CES award in Las Vegas for innovation: in the field of intelligent vehicles (in 2018 and 2021), and payments (2019). His entrepeneurial vision is focussed on technologies and organizations.
He is the VP of Angel Holding, the Italian group focussed on developing highly technological businesses in the railway, digital mechatronics and aerospace sectors, and new high-potential markets. He is also the CEO of Matipay, a fintech company which offers solutions in the digital transformation in the retail market, of VAIMOO, which develops vehicles and technologies for last mile transportation, and of Angel4Future, a new division specializing in the development of new businesses in the field of digital mechatronics.
